Significance, Auspicious Yoga, Puja Muhurat & Vastu Tips

Shri Krishna Janmashtami is one of the most sacred festivals of Sanatan Dharma, celebrating the divine birth of Lord Krishna.
According to the Puranas, Shri Krishna appeared on Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha in Bhadrapada, at midnight, under Rohini Nakshatra, with the Moon in Taurus.
The combination of Ashtami Tithi, Rohini Nakshatra, midnight and Taurus Moon makes Janmashtami especially significant.
Significance of Janmashtami
The Bhavishya Purana and Gautami Tantra highlight the spiritual importance of Janmashtami. When Ashtami Tithi, Rohini Nakshatra and Monday or Wednesday coincide, it is traditionally known as Jayanti Yoga, a rare and highly auspicious combination.
Observing Janmashtami with devotion, prayer and proper rituals is believed to bring spiritual merit and strengthen one’s path of Dharma.
Janmashtami Puja Muhurat

The most important time for Shri Krishna Janmashtami Puja is the Nishita Kaal, the sacred midnight period associated with the divine birth of Shri Krishna.
Devotees traditionally perform the main Janmashtami Puja during this period, followed by Krishna Janma Utsav, Aarti and Moon Arghya.
